When Death entered the room that long ago night,
I choked on my wine at the very sight.
Composing myself in the blink of an eye
I studied him closely as he watched you die.
He stood tall and gaunt with the palest of skin,
And tired faded eyes the color of tin.
As you knelt on the floor your time running out
I dared to quickly glance about.
Not a soul took notice of this ancient reaper
As his long boney hand dug into you deeper,
Grasping your soul in its tight gnarled grasp
And yanking it out with the sound of your last dieing gasp.
My fear now gone and feeling much bolder
I walked up behind and placed my hand on his shoulder.
Cold to the touch and as smooth as old leather,
My nose caught the scent of must and wet weather.
Your soul still in hand drooping flimsy and light,
He turned his weary gaze upon me that night.
He looked in my eyes and deep into my soul,
But I felt no fear as of myself I lost all control.
Frozen immobile under his penetrating gaze I stood,
And felt of him fully and understood.
Then with a slight grin, a rather ghastly sight
He turned from me quickly and swiftly took flight.
My eyes slowly lowered to your cold lifeless shell,
And I silently wondered where you’d end up, heaven or hell?
I knelt by your side and placed a last kiss on your cheek,
And then I went home worn out, tired and weak.
That long ago night when suddenly death did appear
I keep forever in my heart, a memory dear.

The Ivory Floor
When seen through eyes once seen before,
And crossed the path never crossed before,
Discover the gift you must enfold,
Fantasy frosted covered with gold.
Upon a place where dreams may come true…
Just enter through.
Oh meet me where mystery will glisten,
Mystic encounters await ambition,
Glittered in streams enchanted soared,
Upon the realm portrait lovelorn.
If you can see me, lights hypnotized…
Shimmer your eyes.
Do you seek what led you lost?
From a dream a price that costs,
Cannot spend until you find
Words that spoke if you’re mine.
Behind through the crowds only
Watching you.
Who will make the move?
The ivory floor chambered before,
An isle leads affection adorn,
A place that held reflection alive,
Magic steps, midnight chimes.
In this dream destiny visioned
…on the ivory floor.

You Kiss Me Open
You kiss me open
Energies arise
Triple awareness
Seen through my eyes
Guided transitions
Transcending the air
Aware your tongue
Lingering there
You touch me sacred
Templed foundations
Shaken to ether
Felt translations
Breath of your dragon
Caressing my soul
Ecstatic loving
Making us whole

Awakening
My eyes hermetic.
Not anything. Then smell:
Strolling emerald woods,
Glistening gold
Piercing the shade.
Alive, releasing a scent,
Breathing in synchronicity.
Your body
Of ethereal hills,
As a stream flowing.
Majestic, shimmering,
Uncovered beauty
Aglow in aurora;
Waiting to be explored.
Each breath heard,
Sirenic. Stunning.
This dulcet breeze, gliding.
A celestial tap,
Divined and devoured,
With every variation
That penetrates me.
The ingrained taste
Of one last kiss,
Lingering. Precious.
Indulging me
With orchid nectar,
Your elixir. Intoxicating
Me in never-ending bliss.
Enlivened and vacant,
Your image overwhelms me.
My seraph that seizes
And carries me upwards
Towards paradise,
As everything else fades
And time stands still.

A Crown Of Paintings
I am, wasted here.
My eyes are heavy,
I am unclear.
Lost in this circuitry.
The die is cast here,
I’m incomplete.
Messages float back and forth,
This gypsy girl if full of warmth
And, she doesn’t want it,
Not that way.
She says a few words
She doesn’t stray,
But you are here
Reflecting me,
An open doorway
We must step through.
A castaway
Who’s been forlorn,
My soul is empty
It has been torn.
If we were drinking
A bottle of red, then I,
I would take you to my bed
And,
Write you poems
For awhile.
You’d kid with me and
Make me smile.
I am uncertain.
I am his friend.
He takes me in
And lets me know,
I am his girlfriend
He won’t let go.
I’d ask him questions,
I’d whisper things,
A crown of paintings,
He is my king.
An auburn sunset
Fills the sky
And, I can see for a
Thousand miles.
I am wasted here,
My eyes are heavy,
I am unclear.
Darkness is
Engulfing me,
The day ends slowly,
I am complete.
I am complete.
